Major Bargains exists because useful and interesting merchandise should not go to waste, and good things should not have to be expensive.
The owner genuinely loves giving and helping people. Making merchandise affordable is one way Major Bargains gives back. Inventory moves quickly. The goal is not to hold every item indefinitely while chasing the absolute maximum price.
The rhythm is simple: find it, price it fairly, move it, bring in something new.
The military identity is personal.
Military service runs through multiple generations of the owner's family. Two of her sons currently serve in the United States Armed Forces. The theme represents respect for service, teamwork, responsibility, community, and taking care of people. Major Bargains is not endorsed by or affiliated with the Department of Defense or any military branch.
Meet Major Bargains
Major Bargains is the eagle mascot who helps give the store its personality. He can be sharp-eyed, fun, resourceful, and always on the lookout for the next bargain. He is not an actual member of the United States military.
How It Works
1. Recon
We hunt down interesting merchandise from estate sales, liquidations, overstock, buyouts, and unexpected opportunities.
2. Deploy
Fresh finds hit the Major Bargains floor and online Supply Depot. Inventory changes constantly.
3. Secure the Bargain
You found it. You want it. Secure it before the mission changes.
4. Mission Accomplished
Take it home, pick up your online order at headquarters, or have eligible merchandise shipped.
Local Pickup
All local online-order pickups happen at the Mongold Enterprises headquarters office, not the Major Bargains retail floor. This gives a clear chain of custody. Pickup becomes available the following morning when the headquarters office opens. Every pickup order receives a Mission Code to verify handoff.
