George Junior Peck
U.S. Army
Their Story
George Junior Peck answered the call to serve his country as a member of the United States Army.
Born in 1918, George belonged to a generation whose lives unfolded during one of the most consequential periods in American history. While many details of his military service have yet to be recovered, one important part of his story remains known to his family: he served.
After his military service, George built a life with his wife, Rosa Carmela Villecco Peck, and their family. They eventually made their home in La Puente, California. George passed away on October 19, 1985.
Today, his family continues the work of piecing together the details of his time in uniform. His rank, unit, dates of service, and other portions of his military history may still be waiting to be rediscovered in records, photographs, and the memories he left behind.
But a missing record does not diminish a life of service.
George Junior Peck has a place on this Wall because his service is part of his family's history, and his name deserves to remain part of its future.
His story is still being discovered. His service is already remembered.
